THE BUYING ANSWER
Start with a clear definition.
Connect the product reference to quantities, destination, custom changes and packing expectations. State what is unknown. This lets the quotation separate a defined production scope from items that still need development or a physical sample.
The decision behind the detail.
An exact total with no variant breakdown can be less useful than a tentative matrix. Give the best available structure and flag the assumptions you want confirmed.
AN EXAMPLE OF A CLEARER BUYER REQUEST
Put the question to work.
- Too open to interpret
- “Please send your best price for dog clothes.”
- A more useful request
- “Use D01 as a visual reference. Quote our proposed size and colour matrix, with the requested label and packing changes listed separately. Identify sample charges, exclusions and specifications still awaiting review.”
What this clarifies: The reference, batch and changes can be reviewed together; D01’s unverified specifications remain open.
Illustrative wording. Replace it with your actual requirements; it is not a confirmed specification or offer.PREPARE ONLY WHAT IS RELEVANT
Three details to bring.
- Product scope
- Name the style or model and reference revision.
- Quantity basis
- Break units down by style, colour and size where known.
- Quote assumptions
- List materials, branding or packing still to be decided.
Check together
- Ask that the quote identifies the specification version.
- Separate included work from optional development items.
- Record unanswered questions beside the quoted scope.

Take it into your project.
Go straight to an enquiry, or add a note first. Every field here is optional.
Add a working note (optional)
Leave anything undecided blank. These notes do not approve a sample or order.
