THE BUYING ANSWER
Start with a clear definition.
Number each observation and link it to a location, measurement or photograph. State the requested outcome and whether a point is approved or still open. Keep one consolidated feedback record for the sample revision.
The decision behind the detail.
Several reviewers may disagree. Resolve internal conflicts before sending instructions that ask the maker to satisfy incompatible changes.
AN EXAMPLE OF A CLEARER BUYER REQUEST
Put the question to work.
- Too open to interpret
- “The sample is almost right; please improve it.”
- A more useful request
- “Reference sample A, revision 2. Keep the approved outline. Review the marked edge finish and bow position shown in our annotated photos. These two points remain open; this note is not bulk-production approval.”
What this clarifies: A revision can be compared against named changes without treating partial feedback as full approval.
Illustrative wording. Replace it with your actual requirements; it is not a confirmed specification or offer.PREPARE ONLY WHAT IS RELEVANT
Three details to bring.
- Sample reference
- Name the version reviewed.
- Numbered observations
- Describe each issue and its location.
- Requested outcome
- State the change or confirmation needed.
Check together
- Remove contradictory comments before handoff.
- Separate mandatory changes from optional ideas.
- Close each point on the next sample review.
