THE BUYING ANSWER

Start with a clear definition.

Identify the item, owner-supplied reference, condition and the features intended for discussion. Record whether it is inspiration or an approved construction target. Receiving a physical sample does not establish rights to reproduce every design element.

The decision behind the detail.

A reference can contain unwanted details. Mark exclusions so the development team does not copy them by default.

PREPARE ONLY WHAT IS RELEVANT

Three details to bring.

Sample identity
Record the reference name and received condition.
Features to discuss
List the details the buyer wants reviewed.
Exclusions
Identify aspects that should not carry into the new design.

Check together

  • Keep photographs connected to the received item.
  • Clarify the role of the reference in development.
  • Resolve permissions for supplied designs where needed.

READY TO DISCUSS THIS DETAIL?
